Winemaker Comments
The youngest vineyard in our portfolio shows Pinot Noir in a restrained, elegant style reminiscent of Volnay. A truly expressive nose makes for a charming entry highlighted by dried rose petal and black tea leaf. The palate unfurls with ripe fresh black raspberry with notes of baking spices. Drinkable now, it will continue to develop in the cellar over the next several years. Pair with loin of lamb or rabbit.
Tasting Notes
Smooth and juicy with snappy, racy acidity and lovely black cherry fruit; bright and lively with nervy, lifted flavors wrapped in silky, mellow texture; lush and feminine with exquisitely articulated complex flavors and balanced structure. Remarkable now, richer and more nuanced in a year or two.
